Default brakes question

hey so here is the thing, im changin my brakes on my 97 audi a6 quattro and i took off the old pads and when i try to compress the piston it just wont budge, i tried it wit a c clamp and that happend was that the c clamp got all messed up, i took of the cap from the brake fluid reservoir and even put the car into neutral and there is no way its moving, anyone have any suggestions. thnx

Front or rear brakes?The fronts should just press in with a C-clamp,
but the rear pistons need to be "screwed" in, auto parts stores have the
proper tool for this, or some people have used large channel lock pliers,
but don't damage the rubber boot.
