Default Buying an A6 2.7t, please advise on what to be aware of

The one I am looking at is a 2000 2.7t, 6 speed w/ 74k miles. What kind of things should I look for to see if common problems are or will be occuring? And anything else you guys think should be brought to my attention.

Thanks in advance

Timing belt and associated items with that; Tstat, water pump, idlers and tensioners. Control arms in the front suspension. Turbos-find out who owned drove the car. Turbos$$$$$$$$$$. The 2000 cars have smaller oil lines and people tend to say they fail more often. I'm well over 100k on the originals.

Those are the majors. Make sure teh car was properly maintained. Brake fluid flushes, Power steering flushes, oil changes etc. The timing belt should have been done by this time. Age over mileage.

Cool. Mostly basic stuff I would investigate anyway (t belt, wat pump, turbos, etc) I wanted to be sure there wasnt 2.7t-specific things since I have not owned one yet.

Can those smaller oil lines be upgraded easily?

I'm not sure, I think pure motorsports or ecs tuning has the larger lines but not sure if they bolt right up.
