Hi, I'm Scott. Just joined the forums for buying advice. I'm looking for a station wagon because my wife and I are starting family, and we already have a large dog that we bring along. Found so many head gasket issues with 4 cyl subaru's and 4 cyl VW's so pretty much just looking for 6 cyl for reliability reasons. Been finding some audi's that I really like from the pics. Supposed to meet to view an Allroad a6 wago tomorrow. It's a 2001 with 2.7L and auto tranny. How does this compare to a6 quattro, and how's the reliability? Any common problems? Does it have timing belt or chain? Interference engine? How 'bout turbo reliability? Transmission?

Any advice on what to look for when I view this car or which model might be better for me would be much appreciatted. Is the gas mileage much worse on the allroad?
