Default Cable rolling sound

I've read everything on here about CV's boots and the bearings when turning left with the strange sounds. Mine is nothing like what I've read. When I make a left turn I get a sound from under the driver side that sounds like a cable rolling from right to left just under my foot. I got down on the ground and looked under the car today and it appears there is some greese (not oil) directly under the driver seat and a little forward towards the front of the car.

The sound is only when I turn left and then straight the car back out.

Any thoughts?

From everything that I've managed to read and self diagnose from a distance is that it could be the motor mount, the suspension, and something with the power steering. The best way to discribe this is as if it was the odometer cable had come unstrapped and is slapping around when I turn.

Thanks in advance!

If you found grease, lift that part of the car up and check the wheel area for grease around the inner part of the wheel and the brake caliper, if its coated with grease you should be able to see a split in the CV boot. That will cause anything from a clunk to a clicking type noise when turning the steering wheel.

It is not anywhere near the tire, it's under the driver seat and a little towards the front of the car. The CV boots are just fine and were just replaced last month.

Its really hard to diagnose without being able to hear it, i would check the strut tower bolts, steering rack bolts (under the battery), and upper control arm bolts and bushings. Those would be your major problem areas.
