Rolling Ball sound under passenger seat

Default Rolling Ball sound under passenger seat

I have a rolling ball sound when I come to a stop and then again when I take off. I have no idea what it is. Anyone ever have this issue.

Since you posted this, I have developed same issue. Mine is that there is a little slack in the seat rails that the seat sides in. I can lean back and forth in the seat and it will make that same sound. Hoping it's just a loose bolt.

Default Hex Extension

Yeah...I had a hex driver extension



roll up into the vent behind the passenger seat and it slid all the way up to the front. I don't have the car anymore but I think I was able to get a hanger up the vent and pull it out. I unscrewed the vent cover on the floor near the center console of the passenger front seat to help guide it. I may have used a magnet extension. It's been a while. It is very annoying but if it is the same noise it is should be just something in the vent. Hope this helps...Good Luck!!

i know its very old thread but i used to have similiar issue in mine audi s5 , i was trying to figure out since i own the car nearly 3 years . Noise sound like a golf ball rolling somewhere in the car , sometimes when i was moving from traffic a gently , sometimes when i was reversing with my wheels turn/straight , no noise at all while going over speed bumps ,potholes . I have replaced front upper control arms , top mounts + shock absorbers , brake callipers , etc and still was experiencing the same noise until last month when I decided to replace suspension bushes in lower arms/wishbones for new one , and noise finally goes away ! 1 bush looks like been worn a bit and the other ones looks fine … To any1 who’s experiencing similiar strength noise id like to share my story with solution 😅Hopefully it may help some one !
