So, wonder if the Pulstars just acted really bad with bad ICM's... or did they take the ICM's out in the first place?

See, that's what I was wondering too, Jim. Well, I would say a couple, if not all, of the Pulstar's did go bad based upon the instant I put the NGK's back in - she ran completely different (still sputtering, but just still more smooth, much more powerful start-up..) My old ICMs did get covered by this very sticky debris around them, just wondering if some of that got in there and screwed with the contacts? I didn't see anything on the pins when I pulled them, all looked pretty clean, but you never know about what the eye can't see lol

Glad to hear you got things sorted, and there is nothing wrong with driving around in an F 150, my old 4.6 triton does all sorts of things the Audi will never do, but for pure driving enjoyment, Audi is the winner

Well, just because it ran better w/o the Pulstars doesn't mean they were actually bad. It just means they could not run correctly in conjunction with weak ICM's... The problem I have with Pulstars is that they contain capacitors. Placing capacitors in the ignition circuit changes an inductive-resistive (coil/resistor wires) circuit into an resistive- capacitive-inductive (coil/capacitors/wires) circuit which will act and react fairly differently, and is what prolly brought down your ICM's - which are already known to be weak.

^^ Agreed nothing77. Trust me, I love trucks - esp big ones lol But when it comes to ride quality and luxury, Audi is #1 in my book. Bimmer's quality is a close 2nd. Now, if only A6's sat as high as trucks (1 reason I like SUVs/Trucks is the fact you sit over top of everyone else) we'd be golden

That's what the Q7 and Q5 would prolly do for you. Wait a few years until the 2006-2007 Q7s get aged and drop in price . Q5 was just introduced in 2009 as you know, so longer wait there...
