Hey guys,

I decided to change my own brakes, which I've never done before. I'm just wondering if there is anything special or different that i have to worry about on my car in addition to the normal - take off the tire, remove the caliper (with the appropriate tools), remove the pads, take off the rotor etc.. I have a 2000 a6 4.2l. Are there any tips or things i need to be cautious of? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

 

just had the rears done on my 2002 4.2 A6 and it looked pretty normal as far as euro/german cars go

 

i did my front and rears about 6 months ago. no issues/problems, but then again i've been working on my own cars for 30+ years.
