I origially thought i was going to buy a 01 a6 4.2, hence the post about the mods, on wednesday i'm going to the dealership in schaumburg, and the salesman just called and told me he has a 00 2.7t a6 black in black, audi certified pre-owned(extended warranty) with 30,000 miles for 16,885. the 01 4.2 has 75,000 silver on black and isnt certified pre-owned (no more warranty) for 16,985. Am i making the right decision in switching engines and years, i've heard mixed reviews about the 00 2.7, but it only has thirty thousand miles with one owner. Both are pre-owned, and since the users in here usually know their a6's, any input will be appreciated, I have till wednesday, thanks

 

Is the 2.7 a stick (so much better)
The Certified program is great and for that price I would buy it, where is it (j/k, I can't even make rent).
They are both good engines.
I would say you are getting an automatic for that kind of money though.
Eh, can't win um all. Definitely the most modifiable with the S4 having the same set up.

Thats a good choice the lower mileage will really pay off, cuz the 4.2 will start gettin expensive when it gets up near 100,000 miles. Definately the 2.7T plus the turbo means a good chip will be available

 

i'm 20 and i love the 2.7 twin turbo u cant go wrong its just so much fun.... theres more parts than the V8 and it has the same engine as the S4!
