Glad I found you guys as I don't trust the dealers!

Anyway, I have never had so many issues with getting a headlight lens until my A6 lens was busted. Apparantly you have to buy the whole headlight assembly as the lens alone is not offered. But I have noticed a big price difference between the A4 headlights and A6 headlights even though they appear to be the exact same headlight! I have a 1997 A6 Quattro.

Based on my eyes, they are the same fit for headlights. However, I cannot find anything to confirm this. I know the A6 has a bigger engine, obviously, and is more roomy etc. but seems like as far as lights and other parts go, they are interchangeable???

Don't goto the dealer for headlight assembly unless you have a lot of money to throw away. Find a salvage yard and save.
