my whole climate control unit will not come on, i checked all the fuses and there all in working order, is there a relay under the dash for this that might have gone out? i dont know what else to try, and also my stereo wont go off when i turn the key to off and take it out.. why is this? help ASAP!

 

Not sure on the stereo thing.
On your climate control, when you turn the lights on, do the buttons light up, but nothing works? Or is it completly dead. My friends S4's climate completely stoped working, but still lit up. If this is the case, Il ask him what he did to fix it.

 

yea, thats exactly what is going on with mine,, the lights work but nothing turns on.

 

Ok, Im waiting on him to reply to me and tell me what he did to fix it.

 

did you ever find out what it was? i went to a salvage yard that has all german cars today picked out another climate control and put it in and it still wouldnt work, so i gave it back to the guy and another guy that knows car stereos and stuff pretty well looked at my connections and stuff and he noticed a purple wire that was cut from my OEM stereo connector that leads to the red connector behind the stereo but i cant seem to find where it would have gone, i dont know if when they hooked up my aftermarket flip up dvd player stereo they tapped into something? anyone got any clues?

does any one know if the climate control and the radio wires have something in common? the stereo was wired in with the harness and i just cant figure out what it was.. the stereo will not turn off with the car anymore, so im guessing is there a wire in there thats a cut off for the ignition that also goes to the climate control?
