Default Cold Air Intakes

any maker better then another? looking to put one on my '95, also, is there a way to make one yourself? or will it not provide as much power as a manufactured one? bc to me, they look like it would be easy to make, some stainless steel pipe, a washable high flow cone filter, and some seals, only prob is, idk where i would find the seals lol
