Default Coolant Temp Sensor / Thermostat?

I drive an 1996 Audi A6 2.8 and I noticed that my coolant would leak sometimes. I checked for any cracks in the coolant container and there were none. Then the coolant temperature too high/low light began blinking on my dash, but the coolant temp gauge reads normal temperatures. But I look and see that my coolant is actually boiling. I think it could be the coolant temp sensor at fault, but I dunno. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Coolant Temp Sensor / Thermostat?

It is not your coolant temp sensor. Probably thermostat, plugged radiator, bad cooling fans.
