Coolant Warning Comes One When COLD
2002 A6 2.7T, 83K, bought CPO in 2005
Low Coolant/Overheating Warning comes on at ignition when car is stone cold
Shuts off after car warms up (after about 1-2 minutes, depending on how cold it is), does not reappear while driving (yet)
No green puddles (or any unexplained puddles) when parked
Manual sez this should only happen when car is overheating
Did not happen EVER before dlr replaced timing belt and all attendant parts (preventative) at 79K - and does not happen on warmer days
Ideas, anyone?
Thanks in advance -

Check the connector under the coolant tank that is for the coolant level switch. I'm assuming you have checked the coolant level? Perhaps not though, since it isn't green - it is pink (or at least it should be if dealer used the right stuff).
