Hi, I got a problem with my A6 2001 model. Somewhere around the left wheel there is a very annoying creaking sound. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not, but now I'm wondering what's wrong.

Any ideas?

 

It could be the bushings on the control arms. When they wear out they will make a creaking sound.

 

control arm bushing most likely, sounds like lower control arm also check your strut. just did my wifes control arms really not that hard, blauparts has very good prices stay away from ebay.
