creeking noise

Default creeking noise

anytime i would come out of park and into drive i would ear a creeking noise comming from the rear breaks,do any one no what it could be?
by the way i have a 98 a6 with 122xxx on it

is the parking brake on? lol

maybe just old or inferior pads that need changing

lol no i the parking brake wasnt on,
but maybe your right about te pads,they are aftermarket i noticed when i bought the car last month,maybe i should change both rear pads and rotors and see what happenes

Yeah, aftermarket pads are pretty hit and miss. They might be cheap, but they're really irritating with the way they can squeak and shudder at low speed braking. OEM ftw

had a creaking noise on my front left wheel ... turns out when i changed my rotos and pads and calipers i didnt have a torq wrench and you are supposed to tighten to 93lbs ... took the wheel off and the carried bolt was halfway out of the thread ... maybe it is just tightening ??? good luck
