Default Creeking Suspension Noise

Hey guys..

Well i think my control arm went on my passanger side. Just to make sure

When ever i turn at a slow moving rate it is CREEEKING Sounds like it needs some WD-40 I cant even describe the sound. Nor do i know where its comming from. But it is only at a slow parking lot speed.

Jeeze hit 60K Wheel bearing goes control arm goes. Whats next

I have the same creeking noise coming from the upper link on my driver's side rear, but i just thought it was a squeaky bushing that some grease would take care of. Are there grease fittings under there and if so where? Should i look into replacing the link instead of throwin grease at it?

I'm pretty sure there are no grease fittings on any of the joints for the suspension. It sounds like the groan from one of the urethanebushings that is beginning to go. They are not replacable, you have to replace the whole arm. The tough part of course is trying to figure out which one is making the noise. It still amazes me how you can be SURE something in the front drivers side is making a noise but its actually the rear passengers side. Good luck sir.

I actually had/have the same sorta problem. But mine will squeek when I turn back and fourth too. I actually took it in to an audi guy around here and he says it's just the upper control arm bushings. he said that's the most common problem he sees on these things. I actually just stuck a grease needle in the bushing and filled her up. after about 20 miles the squeeks went away. Now I hear nothing. But I know it will start up again. just buying myself some time to save for new stuff But mine is actually both sides. so no guessing for me

Definitely control arms. Consider the Febi-Bilstein kits. Great quality parts, made in Germany and a great reputation for quality.

As the summer rolled in, I developed this creaking too. I think it may be worn out control arm bushings or sway bar links.. (For me, it looks like it's both of these )

It seems to get worse as my car gets hotter. When i first pull out of my lot its just a little creek creek...When i pull back in when my car ahs been driving for a while it sounds like metal is pinging from my suspension.

same prob here. whats worse is I brought mine in to a mechanic to fix the upper right contror arm. 600 bucks and 2 weeks later, instead if clunking its now creaking like yours. WTF?!
ECS-TUNING sells a whole CA repair set with stronger ams, I may look into it.

Try squirting the sway bar bushings with silicon grease. If the squeaking diminishes, replace the bushings or remove them and lube them up with a heavy lithium grease.
