I have searched this site and others to come up confused. The cruise control on my '99 2.8 won't work. The problems started when the CC was on then it would just cut off- it did this for awhile and now won't go on. I have check all the vacuum linesand nothing. This is a drive by wire throttle. All the posts I have seen are for non DBW system. Could it be in the stalk? if so how do you test or fix? I heard that it could be an issuewith the fuel injection control unit? What is it and where?

Any DIY write ups are appreciated.

Is there a control unit for this system like the A4's located above the glove dept? Is there any button or circuit near the accelerator? any clue or hint is much appreciated-

 

the control unit is up under the glove box. drop the glove box out and the control unit is there. mine has the same problem i stuck a compressed air nozzle in where the switch is on the stalk and it worked great for 2 days then failed again so im guessing its the stalk for me.
