CV Boot/Joint Recurring Problems

CV Boot/Joint Recurring Problems
Have an A6 2004 2.7T S-Line I have had to replace my CV boots/joints 3 times in 77,000 miles. 2x covered by warranty and 1x not covered. Any ideas on what could be the issue? I drive limited highway and mostly city streets (Dallas). Any recs on maintenance that might help reduce cracking?

I don't want to "mess with Texas", but I would say that slower cornering in town helps tremendously. You do like to showcase your smoking hot S-line, even off the line, don't ya? How many sets of tires did you replace over the span of those 77 k miles?

Leaving the joking aside, you should change the dealership you're doing your maintenance at.
Three sets of cv JOINTS in only 77 k miles is ridiculously smelling as they like to bbq your wallet once in a while... Texas style.
Just as a curiosity: did THEY "diagnose" bad cv joints/torn boots all three times, or you had all three times grinding noises and you saw the torn boots with your eyes?

Thanks guys, and good points. The 1st 2 sets were replaced by the dealer at no charge, so I didn't really worry about it. This past set was changed by my trustworthy mechanic who I've used for 15 years on various cars. He always saves parts he takes off for repair so I can see the damage or problem. The new boots are not from Audi, so we'll see how they perform.
I have been known on occasion to have a lead foot, but I must say the tire wear pattern hasn't matched the CV problem. It is a fun car. Haven't gotten the cahones to do a chip and software change yet, but now that I'm out of warranty figure it's probably time to consider that too.
Does anyone know if spraying pure silicone on them at each tire rotation might help keep them more supple?
