Dash turn signal indicator
The left turn signal indicator on my dash recently went out. I still works but is very, very faint and not visible in the sun. The turn signals continue to work etc and I can hear the audible click of the turn signal working. Minor incovenience but wasn't sure what would be entailed if I wanted to replace the bulb? Or whether it's possible?
I am afraid there is no bulb to replace, at least not on my 2002 S6 (basically the same instrument cluster as an A6). I took my cluster apart today for exactly the same reason, a dim left indicator arrow, every once in a while it will be full brightness. There are no bulbs in there, it is all LED's that are soldered to the board and I am not sure were I would be able to find such an LED. The cheapest solution I have found is to send it to many of the places that rebuild the instrument clusters, I will probably call first, but since it is Thanksgiving, I will have to wait until next week before I call.
Hope that helps a little.
