Default Dashboard

I have two questions for the dashboard. My instrument for the temparature has gone twice over the half mark. This only happend when I was running the car over 90 MPH and the temparature was about 70 degrees outside. I have a six speed, but didn't even go once to the red line when this happened. This happend when I shut off the car and like five minutes later I turned it on and it was just alittle bit over the normal temparature. It was like it only for like 10-20 seconds and then again the same. It never happend again. I just want to know if I should worry about it or not. Then the other question is about the oil temparature. The instrument is on the left side. The temparture is always usually from 125 till 200 Fahrenheit. It depends on the weather outside. Once it was like 40 degrees outside and I was racing an M3. We went up to speeds of 130 MPH. The temparature reached almost 225 Fahrenheit. So I am not actually sure if I run the car at high speeds that it will jumb higher. When should I worry about it? Whats usually the normal temparature? The reason I am asking is because this car will go to Germany for the summer. I will be driving it on the Autobahn at high speeds, minimum of 130 MPH. I am also thinking about putting an APR Chip in it. I just want to take the governer off.

Well thank you guys,

Default RE: Dashboard

E speed, My car does the same make sure you have the right coolant fluid. I have the APR kit and my car has never gone over half and the oild does go to 225 some times. If you get the APR tune make sure you replace the By-pass valves because the stock one will blow with more boost. It's an extra $300 for the parts and its not to hard to install. ONETHING to MAKE SURE IS THAT YOUR CAR DOESN"T OVER HEAT BECAUSE IT WILL DYSTROY YOUR ENGINE!!!.
