Default Dashboard Setup

Hi, this is my first post here and my first audi and im loving my 2002 audi a6 2.7T and i wanted to know how i could setup the dashboard so I could correct the time. I know this question may sound stupid but i didnt know how to do it, i looked in the user manual and it shows a menu button under the mirror controls but i dont see that here in my car. also does anyone know why my MEL light is on, this happened after i filled my car up with gas.

thanks

For the MEL, make sure your gas cap is tight.
To set the clock: Pull out on the left pole on the instrument cluster until hour display flashes, turn left/right to adjust (pull to cycle through minutes, month, day and year then pull once to finish).

They say to make sure the cap clicks three times when tightening back on. Since the MEL has come on you will have to have it cleared by the dealership or someone that has access to a VAG-COM.
