Dealer trouble updating old version of MMI
I just bought a 2006 A6 Avant for my wife and checked the MMI version, 11.9.0!!! I am in Canada and maybe the versions here are different.
I thought it would be a good thing to update the MMI before the car goes out of warrany, so... contacted a couple of dealers and asked about a TSB that would trigger an update (suround settings being lost) but both dealers checked a database on the VIN and said the software is up to date. I am wondering how this could be since other threads talk about so many different versions of MMI even going to 5150. Outside of daytime running lights is there any difference in the cars?
What is the latest version for Canada and how can I get the dealer to update it for me.

Dealers will not give you an MMI update if you come out and ask for an update. However, they will update the MMi if you complain about certain problems. Drop me a PM with your e-mail addrress and reference that you are looking for the MMI update TSBs and I will e-mail them to you.
