I just recently bought an 96 A6 wagon with the delta AM FM cassette radio. I seem to have the tools to remove it, but they don't slide in the slots very easily and the slots show some sign of wear. The radio wiggles a little when I finally get them in, but it won't come out. Am I missing something?

 

Sometimes the radios stick. Especially if something has spilled on them. Try using some sort of hook to pull the radio out. Usually the top between the radio face and the trim works well. You can also remove the gloveobx or drivers kick panel to push it out from the back.
