Default Disconnect the Odometer A6 2006
Hi,
Does anyone know if the Audi A6 2006 continue counting the kilometers if one disconnect the odometer ? And what these functions that will be nonfunctional?

In the US that would be illegal and if you sold the car with mis-stated mileage, you could be fined.

I never messed with the odometer and don't know if it is electric or mechanical, and what else it drives (e.g., speedometer). Someone else may know the answer. I had the mechanical drive cable fail in my old 1982 Jeep CJ7, and both the speedometer and odometer stopped working.
