Default Diversity box location

I am getting fair reception an my FM and no reception an my AM. If I am to understand other posts on this problem, then its the "diversity box" on the antenna and it needs to be adjusted. Unfortunately, I can't locate it. Would anyone know where this might be located? Bose system on '01 A6 2.8Q. Any help would be appreciated.

No. It's all stock. I have searched all over the car, can't find it. I did find a bose speaker "type thing" in the trunk on the right(passanger) side. Seems to be there in case I want to tailgate.

the thing in the trunk is the sub woofer of the bose system.
try taking apart the interior light in the rear, it is directly below the roof antenna.

also if you can, check the antenna plug on the back of the radio.

try looking in the electronics section, there is definitely info there that might help. use the search function.

Thanks, I tried a cursory inspection of the rear lights. It's hard to tell what might be under there. I am often somewhat hesitant to take things apart when I am not sure how to return them to their original state. I will try the electronics section, I guess I can always take it to the "stealership". the last time I was there they charged me $100 to do a fault check on the radio. Since no faults were stored they said a manual componant check was needed at $100/hr. I said I'll listen to the cd.

the electronics section has info, i had similar trouble, turned out the antena wire on back of radio was not fully in.

the interior dome light is directly below the exterior roof antena.

tyr to find an indi audi mechanic before you go to the stealership.
