I am having a good bit of work done on my car. Some might remember my car started misfiring on Thanksgiving day and it ended up being a sludge problem! YUCK and not a cheap repair.

My concern is that since they are doing so much work on the car that it might cause other things to go out once I get the car back.

Is there a such thing as insurance for the motor? I'm out of warranty and I can't afford it if I have something else go out in the near future. This one was a $6000 hit.

You can get insurance for almost anything - The question is how much will it cost?? They will require an inspection and the devil will be in the policy fine print.

What year Audi? - how many miles?

 

It's a 2002 A6 with 72,000 miles.

 

Isn't there such a thing as 3rd party warrenties? I thought I read about someone on AudiForums having one...
