Default HID: D1S -> H7 adapter. Does it even exist?

Hi!

I'll be picking up my B6 Avant this weekend and it doesn't come with xenons so am thinking of converting. I got a great deal on a complete oem xenon housing for my B6 sedan so that was an easy swap. But now having a tough time looking for oem xenon housings for my Avant so am thinking of using the stock halogen housings.

I will be able to get a pair of valeo ballasts and D1S bulbs but since the stock halogens are H7, I need an adapter to fit the D1S into the H7 projectors? {I like the oem valeo as they fit neatly under the housing}

Does such an adapter exist?

Thanks

email Akinaboy @ HIDConcepts.com

He can help you out. I just installed mine last night. Mine are D2S though.

Thanks. I emailed akinaboy and he confirmed that there's no such thing The only option is to get the D2S bulbs and D2S->H7 adapters plus the igniters then I can use it on my halogen housings {something I have yet to convince myself of}

Btw, how did yours turn out? I assume you used the D2S on halogen housings, right?

looks no different than a car that came with factory HID lighting. perfect cutoff, no glare above or below and when the car is coming down the street you get the nice white-blue-purple color shift from the lights.
you will be very happy if you go this route, took 30 minutes to install and the halogen projectors work great. If you have concerns about them then just swap projectors. Get them from HIDPlanet.com or on ebay. I just didn't want to go through the trouble of swapping projectors when there wasn't any need to
