Hi AudiForums members! I am about to purchase an A4 1.8T year 99.5 and the purson claims its an S-line. I need to know how can I tell its an S-line and if even the s-line was available during those years. Its not an S4 and I understand the difference between s-line and S4. Can anybody help?

 

no such thing as S-line on a B5. however it could be sports edition where the suspension springs are red. take a look and you shall see.

 

The car has blistein and hr springs so I can't really check that. Any other way to see if its the sport edition?

 

in the spare tire well there's a sticker with all the option codes the car came with printed on it. the explanations for the codes are on a thread that's lost on this site, search for the thread and match up the codes when you see the car again

as stated there is no s-line b5. if you have sport package there will be a three spoke steering wheel, if not, a four spoke. since there is aftermarket springs/coils, im guessing there isnt sport suspension cause the difference isnt big enough imo to justify a 800 cost.

 

What about the dash? How does a dash of a 99.5 look like compared to a 99 or 00?
