How do i get the door panels off? 1998 A6

 

as far as i can tell u have 3 maybe 4 screws to remove...open door, look along the edges at window level you will see one at the front, one at the back right by the door latch, and a third will be on the bottom lined up with the speaker, and if u have seat memory buttons, u may have to remove that 1 screw also, im not sure...but those 3 should do it from what i can see

 

With the door open, remove two screws from the door panel. one is on the top outer right and the other is on the top outer left side of the door. Use a very small/long screwdriver and push up through the access hole on underside of the window switch control to remove the window switch control. Disconnect switch, lift the door up and off the door frame.

Your done. If is a lot simpler than it seems, basically, remove two screws, remove window switch, lift door panel off.

you will of course have to disconnect the speaker, door latch and so forth if you want to move the door panel more than 5 inches from the door.

Thanks guys... yea i notice they don't make a repair manual for my car... i'm trying to replace the speakers...
