I am noticeing some rough downshifting when I slow to to come to a complete stop. What would I do to stop this problem? Should I go and get some transmission fluid, or get my transmission flushed?

Start with checking, properly, the transmission fluid level. If you want, change the fluid and filter, don't just get it flushed. A flush doesn't do crap.
