Hi,

When i bought my A6 the drivers window would not always go either all the way up or all the way down when pressing the window button quickly, all the other windows were fine and it didnt do this very often so i could cope with it. Now its the other way round, it always has this problem and hardly ever works. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but i noticed it more after my rns-e nav unit went in, also it never worked straight away after switching the engine on, but after about 20 seconds it sometimes would. This is a very strange one and just wondered if anyone could shed any light on this.

I would pull the door panel and take a look at it. Make sure nothing is binding. Make sure the guides arent cracked. They are the plastic things the window bolts to. Sorry but im not really sure why the window doesnt work for the first 20 sec after you start your car. Kinda sounds like something maybe wrong with the motor that may be causing both problems.

 

you need new window clips the old ones are blue the new style are orange.
