Before anyone gets too worked up here, I am sure I already know the answer, but I wanted to run it by the experts here. We have all seen the multitude of chips on ebay priced anywhere from $10 - $50. The sellers appear to have lots of positive feedback about how well they work. Cynical as I am, I thought there could potentially be a nugget of reality in there somewhere. Has anyone tried one of these? What is the verdict? Thanks

 

I wouldn't buy one. Just wait until you can get a reliable chip that really makes your vehicle perform better. I have not personally used the Ebay chips but have heard negative feedback about them.

 

Risky proposition. Ecm damage can occure if the chip is not right, and those run anywhere between 500 and 1000 bucks.
