Electrical Gremlins
Hi, I have an R registered 2.5 TDI Avant.
My problem is that all four electric windows, and all internal courtesy lights have stopped working.
The red indicator lights (which hi-lite, wehere the light switches are) work.
The car is a right hand drive, and according to the hand book, the fuse panel is at the right hand end of the dashboard (which it is).
Having located the panel, the book says (fuse 14) is for the interior lights and is 10amp.
This fuse and all other fuses seem o/k. The book makes no refrance to a window fuse, but tells of a self re-setting thermal overload.
Are the lights and window circuits linked in some way?
Is there a fuse for the windows?
Where is the thermal overload situated?
Is there some other protection device for the lights?
The problem (according to her indoors) seemed intermitant at the start but is now constant.
Can anybodysugest a cause and cure for the problem,
Thanks in advance
