Electronics Seat memory and Radio controls
Purchased about a month ago so far great performance A6 4.2 2001 60000 mileage.
I think I am programming the memory in the seats the correct way. Has anybody had this functionality fail in their car ? If yes what was the repair cost. The steering wheel radio controls do not work either. It is no big deal but I would like it all to work.
Any insight would be great.
Thanks

RE: Electronics Seat memory and Radio controls
My memory seat in my 01 4.2 wasnt working either, along with the lumbar. I took the car in for some other things along with this but it was covered under my warranty. I looks to me like the switch itself was $140 plus whatever labor it takes to install it. The mechanic told me that there was water on my switch and it shorted out. Either way, its all electronics that will eventually go bad. Good luck with the fix...

RE: Electronics Seat memory and Radio controls
the seat has power, it just does not memorize the position. Whatever I do, when I press the button, it always go back to the same old position. I've seen discussions in this forum about seat without power at all, but what is it in my case?
I've also seen discussions about the switch and a control unit under the seat, which one is it in my case causing the problem?
