Default Engine squeaking

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard their engine sound like mine.

My mechanic thinks it might be the water pump.

It does not mater if a/c is on or off.

I would have it fixed ASAP if it is indeed your water pump. For sure it is a bad bearing on something, but what is the question.

Best of luck and welcome to the forums.

Either the WP or a TB tensioner. In any case get it fixed yesterday because a failure could blow the TB and you'll be in for big dollars. While you have it apart do the TB jig -- WP, tensioners, thermostat, front seals etc. Check Blauparts for the kit.

Thank you for the reply and confirming that is its the pump and or tensioners. Makes me feel better before dropping all that $.

If you have over 70k miles, it's not a waste of money to replace the TB, WP, and all the odds and ends like recommended. If they seize up and stop the TB, your pistons and valves meet which is very bad and expensive.

Don't waste your time trying to figure out if it is the pump or tensioner do the whole job now! As PPgoal said a failure is bad and will cost BIG dollars.
