Default Exhaust change

Hey guys i currently have 3 inch piping from cat back with 2 crappy free flow mufflers. It sounds pretty deep and has a pretty nice sound up until about 3k and then it is all engine sound. I am looking for something louder that has more of a turbo spool sound. I was thinking about maybe just cutting off the mufflers and just putting piping there but i am unsure if that would make it sound any better. Idealy i would want to get downpipes and a chip but Im 16 so i dont really have the money to do everything. It has 137k miles now and no issues what soever but i still dont really want to risk chipping it. I went to the local vdub tech and i brought up the darintake option and he said that might help the sound a little but with the evoms intake it will make a huge audible difference. So yeah just wondering if you guys have any ideas on what i should do

Gut your factory down pipes. That will give you a nice turbo spool.
And a yellow check engine. You will have to put spacers on your 02 to trick the o2 and ecu into thinking every thing is ok. Hopefully your state doesn't have emissions.

But otherwise the 2.7 is a real quiet engine.
