Based on your above quote I was concerned that you were only replacing the one tire, glad to hear that you are replacing all 4.

 

Is their anything that needs to be done on this car before replacing wheels? Does it have any sensor or system that has to be resetted before or after the install? Thanks

 

You need to be careful with the TPMS sensors in each wheel; they are easily damaged. After the tires have been changed you can reset the TPMS through the MMI. When you get thenew rims make sure that they work with Audi's TPMS sensors. What tires did you go with?

 

I am now getting TPMS light everytime I start the car...wondering if its because of the nail in 1 tirebecauseservice resetted this before when the spare was missing but now the TPMS light is back. I was going to take it to Merchants Tire and have them mount and balance my new wheels and tire but now I am wondering if they have experience with these kind of cars or they are simply going to mess up TPMS. I bought Conti Extreme Contact...they had some good reviews from A6 owners and being cheaper I can afford to replace them after 10-15k miles.

Also, does replacing wheels voids any kind of warranty?

 

Tire Pressure System Malfunction light is not going away. Sucks...I kind of have to wait until I get new wheels and tires installed...maybe that'll fix the issue
