Feel free to laugh it I am asking a stupid question, but I just bought a 2005 A6 and the cover on the front cup holder appears to not retract far enough so if you try to put a cup in the holder it is tilted . Am I missing something here?

It must be broken. I have an 05 4.2 and I place a 24 oz cup of coffeee in mine every morning. When you get it fixed, be careful not to spill any liquid on the MMI control panel. It is purportedly a very expensive repair.

 

something is definitely wrong. i have a 05 3.2 and the lid on my front cup holder goes perfectly vertical so doesn't interfere at all.
