Front Mount Intercooler- HELP NEEDED!!!!
Okay, so running 00' A6 2.7 biturbo, ordering intake this week...otherwise stock.. Anyways my buddy has an Evo and just upgraded his intercooler, so he said I could have his OEM Evo intercooler...
Question is: does anyone know how it would fit? and also, would I run into any problems, if I used the frontmount instead of the 2 smaller side mounts?

HEy, everything is doable with moolah. But considering 2.7T intake piping merges at the top of the motor, you would either have to reroute if from the top (which I think is pointless going through 2 sets of intercoolers, or run new piping post turbos. I haven't seen anyone do it, but hey what the heck... knock yourself out and let us know how it works out.

You have to do a little mods to connect it back to the piping.. but you can fit a pretty big one.... Pop your hood and look where the front mount would go.. imagen the weak cooling being removed. You would have a great amount of space for a HHHHHUGE front mount. This would be easier and could fit a bigger intercooler than the s4's because of the extra room. I would say look into somebody willing to the job or see how the s4's hook the front mount intercoolers up. I would def do this. My awe-tuning intercoolers have been nice but it would be fun to see intercoolers 2 times as big as both mine put together . Post pics and DO IT!!!!

Only Q is: W/ the Evo intercooler i would need to run the piping on both sides up to the Y-pipe. But i need to figure out how to connect it to the turbos. Only thing I can think of, to connect another Y-pipe from the intercooler piping to the turbos??????
