So I need a new gas tank, does anybody know any junk yards (or anyone that's close enough for me to pick up) a gas tank for this 98 A6Q Sedan, I am in NYC.

Also, anyone have any idea how much it usually goes for? My (new) mechanic quotes me $1000 for a new one from their dealer.

 

mig, a fellow ny'er. try shokan.com they are an audi only used & new parts supplier. they are in ny state not too far up, def driveable.

all their parts are inspected and backed up, may be a little more $$ but they strip the cars of parts themselves and have indoor storage for them.

if not there are a few salvage yrds in SI. they could prob look it up on thire network.
