i have a 99 a6 and i was wondering how to remove the shifter **** ? i want to take the chrome shifter base off and i need to get the shifter **** off, any help would be appreciated. thanks

hi i have same problem ?? my car is a 04 reg multronic tdi saloon .. and is different to pictures of above link ??mine has no sleeve that slides down ??do i pull //twist /can any body help as i dont want to break anything ,, posted problem before but unfortuntely did not get any replys ???? please help a desperate british a6 owner out
