Default Headlight Assembly Confusion/questions

Hello,

I have a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro. I'm looking to replace my right headlight assembly but have been confused on the correct one i need and the dealer was of no help.

Do all A6's regardless of standard/HID have the headlamp range control sensors?

My headlight assembly looks like the standard light assembly with the dimple looking things around the "projector" lens. But I have a ballast/igniter on the underside of my assembly and the vehicle has the range control sensors.

I had the assembly out last night, but there was no manufacture part number on it. I ordered the 4B0941004BF thinking it was the correct one since I believed I had HID lights and around the "projector" lens is different and its about an inch shorter on the inside where the hood meets.

Any ideas of what I need?

Another note about the car:
When I replaced my front brakes last summer the auto part stores all pulled up the same number for the pads and rotors, took them home and they were the wrong ones. I had to go a year or two up to get the correct ones. I can not for the life of me remember what year they were from though. I have a feeling I got screwed with a mut car.

TIA for any help you can give.
