Seems that there is a leak in the seal! I've got the same problem, but on my right side. Haven't figured out anything though. Hopefully somebody knows something here.

What year is your car? I had the same issue on my 06 A6, and called the Dealer. They said that since my 06 A6 has vented headlights that condensation is normal. However, they said that if there is water droplets or a pool of water within the housing that is not normal. I believe they said that for newer A6 the headlights are all sealed; therefore it would not have this issue.

I do hate the fact that during heavy rain (and snow recently) that my headlights gets alittle condensation. So does my tailight. But the dealer said that is normal too since the taillight is also vented.

I would be very cautious; I have a 2003 A4 and had a "little" condensation. This turned out to be very expensive when it seeped into my Xenon Headlamp Ballast - Audi list price=$575!!

Default Headlamp Door

The condensation was caused by a fatigue crack on the low beam access door.
