My 1996 2.6 V6 has no fans cutting in on radiator, the thermo switch has been replaced with no difference, The small pipe on the top of the expansion bottle returns a little water when revved but not alot, Today after yet another talk with someone they told me to check the hose temp the top hose is red hot whilst the bottom one is a lot cooler as is the rad, So is the pump bust, or is it something else, the strange thing is if the pumps bust why does the heater get hot with no probs. The temp gauge reads normal even thou the car has boiled with the temp gauge saying all is ok, so to me its looking like the pump, So today ive ordered one a new belt tensioners roller etc, What do u think am i barking up the right tree I was actually surprised how cheap the pump was which is a genuine Audi one I got the pump the T belt all the rollers tensioners etc for just on £100.................if that dont fix it me and it are gonna fall out bigstyle!
