Help! Rolled my '98 A6. Progressive is screwing me!
I have a 98 A6 2.8 Quattro that is in excellent shape. Unfortunately, I had an accident where the vehicle was rolled and the final resting position of the car was upside down. Fortunately, it was pinned between a tree and the ditch next to the road so there is almost no damage to the roof and only damage to the front passanger's door (where it wedged against the tree). There is also a decent amount of damage to the front driver's side quatrer panel. (I'll post pics on my site of the car)
I tried to start the car and it seemed un-responsive. It sounded like it was trying to turn over but after about a second it would stop. Do you think that this is caused by oil in the cylinders? What is the procedure to getting an engine running again after it has been rolled. It was on it's top for about 30-40 mins I believe.
The reason that I am asking this is because Progressive Insurance claims that I did not have collision on my car! Right! Who doesn't have collision on a $17,000 car? Anyway, I'm doing a lot of the work myself so any input here would be very much apprecitated!
If you want to check out the pics of the car, visit my website. It is still under construction though, so don't be too critical! Thanks alot!
