Default HELP with SAg-com issues.

Hello All,

Just looking for a little advice.

I have had my 2003 4.2 back and forth to the shop for a recurring engine light that my shop keeps telling me is different things.

1st trip it was the gas cap, paid for a new one and he cleared the codes. I didn't make it a mile before the light came back on.
2nd trip it was a pump relay that he ordered. Dropped it off to be installed with an oil change and for the quattro drive to be checked as the ESP light has benn coming on. Sometimes the front tires are even binding up or locking up for a second when I am driving. Picked it up when he told me it was all set but the ESP light never came on when he drove it. This time I didn't make it a 1/4 of a mile befor ethe engine light came back on. Returned a couple of days later when he was opened and he found a broken vacuum line on top of the intake. ( I can't help but think I didn't need a gas cap or a relay) He had his Vag-com off and on this car a bunch of times trying to figure out the ESP issue. No answers but, now even though the engine light is out, my radio is now not working correctly. The dash board is no longer displaying the radio info and the steering wheel controls are not all working or working correctly. Is there any way that he messed up the radio functions if his Vag com was not functioning properly? Or (gasp) am I looking at replacing the radio?

Thank you for any help or advice you can offer,

Dake

Sounds like some one doesn't know how to use a Vag-com & did some coding to the radio.

Go here & sort it all out, with a Vag-com...

Problem = codes. In order to help, we need to know what's going on. So either find some one local with a newer Vag, or eat it @ the Dealer.
