So i ordered a new headlight switch for my A6. its a 2003 and im wondering how i get the whole thing outta there. i got the face plate off but i need to figure out how to get the actual light switch out since they come out in 2 pieces . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

dont know if it is the same as mine, but try to push it in fairly hard and then turn to the right a little bit. while holding the switch to the right, pull her out!

 

thanks for the reply! and your advice did the trick, i was in there trying to pry it out with a screw driver and getting upset and then today i tried your method and it came right out. i put the new switch and face cover in and its perfect! the other one i had was all nasty and worn through. Thanks again.
