Help: Weird Heat/Ac Problem
01 2.7t auto
ok so i turned on my heat last night and for a min it was kinda warm and then its gets cold as if i turned on the a/c. today i had the temp on high and it was like having the a/c on??? then i turned it down to low to see what would happened..still stayed cold but the car started to rough idle and the abs and traction light came on...i then turned it back up to high turned the car off and back on and the lights went away.
ive never experienced anything like this. i mean i know what its like if you need to bleed your system or something but its def not that plus i have messed with that at all. the car temp shows normal at all times. The fuse is fine..
im really stumped here..Any help would really be appreciated

hrmmm.....
make sure if you want full heat you have your ECON button pressed. anything else and the climate control system tries to give you a "blend" of heat and AC.
the rest of your problem sounds like it may be the AC compressor. It runs off the same belt as the alternator so if your compressor pulley locks up and your alternator isn't getting "spun" properly, your voltage drops and you get loss of power steering, rough idle, abs and EPC lights followed by battery/alternator warning and engine shut-down (if the voltage drops low enough)
right now, just a guess based on the symptoms you described. it was the FIRST thing that came to mind. could be a whole host of other things too
