5100 rpm?? 6800 rpm brother, LOL.
According to Audi, unplugging the battery for a couple hours, like 3 or more will reset the ECM to all correct. Since you have VAGCOM, use it. It is your friend!! I am gonna get it soon, I hate CELs.

i dont have vag-com. i was going to try to drive it to autozone. weird thing though, i was running late so i could move it, but i started it, started fine, still cel though. put it into reverse and it didnt clunk n buck into gear. i hope when i get out of school it will be fine. im picking up my gf after school, gonna go to my house, have some fun, bring her home, then see whats up with the car.

Not sure why this would resulot in the tranny going into limo mode. but what yuo describe does sound like limp mode.
Limp pretty much is a safety feature where yuor tranny stays into 3rd or 4th(?). But if you turn off the car and say satr it again hours later, and drive away, it'll be back to normal, then will go into limo molde again within a few miles.
Yuo definitely need codes and not from autozone, from a VAGcom.

If you look closely at what you just typed you'd realize the cause of your Audi's problem. If you want it to run right - dump the gf - Audis are jealous bitches and don't like their owners having fun with someone else.

lmao funny. well i came home, started the car and it was fine -__-. no more cel nor limp mode. very odd. thanks a ton for the help anyway guys.
