if you guys like the A4 recode, try getting the GIAC chip... it is much more fun than you all think! and now cheaper I think it's about $250

...plus they can flash now via the OBDII port (as opposed to soldering the chip before) ~ I think I have the only A6 with this flash so far and capability to change programs w/ the GIAC Flashloader

Question Anyone in Denver Area...

done this vag code switch with their 2.8? If so could we meet up and and do my 1999 A6
Avant? Sounds like a great mod. The 2.8 definitely needs it.

i did this mod to my car about a week ago... most deffinatly saw an improvement especially at about 4200rpm to redline, honestly i heard a difference as well at the same rpm span, love the way it drives... small increase in gas mileage as well, a must do for 2.8's

Default another 2.8 mod

I really want to do the giac flash load,. I have found another mod and this is vast intake spacers, they add good midrange punch from what ive heard so im ordering a set.

i change a6 coding to a4 coding, and looks like i get an extra 50 miles on a full gas tank, city and highway miles plus with a/c on . i am curious what number for mpg i can get for no agressive driving , stay in speed limit, and no a/c..

lol I just did this and wow nice! I wanted to get the GIAC flash but the dude in my town blacklisted me because of a dropped car. Who would of thought GIAC dealers were so sensitive!

I'm in contact with GIAC now they emailed me saying they would talk to him and get back at me.. This was about a week and a half ago..
